July’s poems and prompts are all about looking at the figure of The Innocent, an archetype we probably need to be friends with right now. You can read more, and engage with the prompts, over on my Substack: wildselfpoetry.substack.com/p/the-innocent

New CNF skull up at @havehashad.com today!
just reread Cody Shrum's "square" on the site today, and the end *literally* gave me goosebumps and made the hairs on my arms stand up, it's so good.

I’ve found that looking at archetypal figures within poetry can often shed some light on the poem and illuminate the reader too.

The first week of every month, I’ll post a poem (or a couple of poems) on Substack that will look at a particular archetype. Prompts will be included at the end!
Archetypes
There are how many?

I hope Wild Self Poetry will be a place where poems (or prose or lyrics, even images) will stir something within the reader – that’s you – and provide a starting point for y/our own personal writing journey.
