I've decided to make Manx Island Rescue a post-season special. So I've now got two more episodes to write. One will be on the Arlesdale Railway, the other on the Skarloey.

Right now, I'm writing a scene where Sir Handel and Peter Sam do a 'good cop, bad cop' routine on Duncan.

As Edward ran ahead with the train Locke stayed at the back, as brakevans often do, and kept an eye on the trucks as they trundled down the mainline.

If ever one tried to play a trick he's ring out his little bell & Edward would promptly bump them to make them settle down.

During WW2, when Thomas had to go into the works, Neville looked after the Ffarquhar Branch Line. Thomas didn't mind. After all, he and Neville were cousins. #TTTE

I just realised, they would've had to cut through some bits of Henry during his rebuild, to make him into a Black Five. So would this mean he's had a Crewe cut? (Pun intended.)

During WW2, Armstrong was requisitioned to help with the war effort on the mainland. Following the war, The Fat Controller tracked him down and brought him back to Sodor. He returned to service in 1950, and continues to serve the NWR to this day.

After his rebuild, Armstrong was put into service on the Norramby Branch. He looked after goods traffic, while Emily handled passengers.

After Norramby Harbour was bombed in 1941, Armstrong ran the line solo. But traffic declined, so the line was closed and he was sent to the mainline.

Armstrong's rebuild took a while, due to the damage to his engine and the unfamiliar at the time technology. So it wasn't until 1935 that he rolled out of the Steamworks under his own power, with a new brown livery.

One day in 1934, Henry had a special load on his train. A strange new engine named Armstrong, who had been bought for the railway by Mr Hatt.

Armstrong was delivered to the railway's works at Crovan's Gate to have his engine rebuilt.

Here's Armstrong the Vintage Diesel. Mesh is pretty much done.

He is the Armstrong-Whitworth 1-Co-1 locomotive. Following the crankcase explosion in 1934, Hatt bought him on the cheap and had him repaired at their works. He then went into service alongside Emily on the Norramby branch. #STMY #TTTE
