Husband, girl dad, numbers guy. Cities should be car-optional. Pro-bus, pro-bike, pro-immigrant, pro-housing.

These smart, walkable, mixed-use skeets are mine alone, and will veer into economics, sports, and Nashville.
Titans host the Saints Dec 28 it’s gonna be so bad and I wanna go.

The sine wave just gets more extreme. The hard parts are the hardest they've been and the highs are SOOO GOOD!

I'm sure it's just my nostalgia but Fox bodies and even the curvy SN95s look better and better each time I see them.

I've given zero thought to the second order effects of this but we absolutely should do this.

I agree with you. My previous skeet probably needed a “/s” at the end of it.

Hey man what’s wrong with tolerating a couple decades of housing crisis because it’ll probably get better when the boomers die off ?

That CM should feel shame. How can someone look around the city and say "I saw that Nashville has a housing crisis and the first thing I thought to do was make sure that my constituents can continue to be exclusionary and not have any new housing built in their neighborhoods."

Both were a great experience - the residents clearly love what they do and the children and families were having a blast on both streets.

Even subtle differences in the built environment lead to very different dynamics - and how great it would be to have more neighbors to run into on Halloween!

Greenfield is a street that many families from other (less walkable & historically less safe) neighborhoods come to every Halloween. So many cars drive in trick-or-treaters.

Inglewood's lower density means there are a lot fewer neighbors running into each other in spite of the bigger crowds.

Greenfield is the major trick-or-treat street for the Inglewood neighborhood. The street has been closed maybe once in the last 8 years. The neighborhood is less dense, but there are more trick-or-treaters than on Greenwood!

Greenwood is a major trick-or-treat street for the Eastwood neighborhood. Proactive neighbors close a couple blocks to traffic. Greenwood is part of a denser neighborhood, with smaller lots and more neighborhood apartment buildings. Saw a lot of neighbors running into each other spontaneously.

At 2.2 acres, for the low cost of $9M+, a builder could get a 1.0 parking ratio with a single level of underground parking.
