NEW: The USDA acknowledged that over the weekend, it accidentally fired "several" agency employees who are working on the federal government's response to the H5N1 avian flu outbreak.

The agency adds it is trying to quickly reverse the firings.

Farmers who actually read Project 2025’s Ag section are NOT shocked to see that NRCS is notifying folks they cannot fulfill contracts due to funding freezes. It was all in there, it’s not a mistake just cuz it affects you.The 30% of us farmers who didn’t vote for Trump have been trying to tell ya!

Farmer’s in the west are already facing a rough growing season ahead due to the mild winter we’ve had. Trump just wasted water that folks will need for their crops in July and August. No water, no food. Add deportation of ag labor and tariffs and this is going to be BAD
