From June 1st, this picture shows a new Hoverfly species for Wildern LNR, a Pale-sided Epistrophe. It's on an Umbellifer in Hogsty Mire. This takes our total of recorded hoverflies to 117 @greenhampshire.bsky.social @lgspace.bsky.social @britishdragonflies.bsky.social

This picture is from May 18th and it's very important as it reveals our 2100th species at Wildern and 1430th invertebrate record. It's a Chalcid wasp, very small and only millimetres long. It was found by Hogsty Pond @insects.bsky.social @greenhampshire.bsky.social @lgspace.bsky.social
