So funny you shine a light on this one, Sven Riebel was my flatmate 10 years ago. We lived together for roughly 4 years near the train station. He brought me into this whole cocktail scene and through that also indirectly into the craft beer world :)

Pretty perfect preparation for Carnivale Brettanomyces ❤️

Tasting notes clone: Smell is more dark cherry / plums and less bright than the original but still delicious, also nice chocolate and licorice notes but less pronounced and complex than the original.

Accompanied by Stilton with appelstroop and homemade bitter orange marmelade 😉

Tasting notes Harveys: quite substantial cherry note, covered in chocolate and licorice and some dark caramel. Taste is slightly tart / brett stout acidity which makes it quite quaffable. Body is still quite big (9%) and some roast bitterness. Pretty stellar beer!

I had the pleasure to drink fresh cask bitter in Germany from Adnams a few weeks ago. I was really impressed by it. The long dry hop (even though it is just one hop plug) and the unusual house yeast just made it for me. So much tannins, mouthfeel and flavour. Hops are about more than just aroma...
