Not in Idaho but important for forests and carbon storage. We need the NWFP to be stronger: oppose logging for dubious "fire prevention" in the rainforest.
Help us protect species like northern spotted owls and marbled murrelets by urging the Service to strengthen and expand the Northwest Forest Plan to preserve forests, wildlife, and watersheds🌲⬇️

This is amazing, @westernwatersheds.bsky.social. We need our public servants to do good work to protect the common lands of America. We may differ on how that looks, but we can all agree that public lands without public workers will be a disaster. #saveourforests #nationalforests

The Wilderness Act is a very strong law that does not need changing. EXPLORE's changes to the Act are a mistake. #keepitwild
"For the first time in the Wilderness Act’s history, it's made an exception for a recreation group to do something that involves tools or equipment in wilderness areas that the Wilderness Act would otherwise prohibit.” – Katie Bilodeau, Wilderness Watch

What Does The EXPLORE Act Mean For Wilderness Areas?
The EXPLORE Act was celebrated by many in the outdoor community, but wilderness advocates had some reservations.

A really bad bill is going through the House. It poses fire as the ultimate threat to our public forests (even though most forests evolved with fire) and the solution? Industrial logging, including clearcutting.

Good news!

One of the barbaric Montana wolf killing bills—HB 222, which would've created a year-round wolf hunting season with no meaningful limits on the number of wolves that could be killed unless the population dropped below 650—was just voted DOWN by the Montana House 60-40!

The so-called "Fix Our Forests Act" is a Trojan horse for weakening critical environmental protections while doing little to prevent wildfires. The bill has passed the House and now it heads to the Senate. Time is of the essence - please act.
TAKE ACTION: OPPOSE the "Fix Our Forests" Act
We need your help to stop a dangerous bill that threatens the future of our public lands, wildlife, and communities, and time is of the essence.
