One reason few people can wrap their head around the realization that the United States is in a full-fledged Constitutional crisis – is that Americans, gripped by fear & materialism, cannot imagine surrendering a lifetime’s accumulation of comfort & possessions in an effort to regain their freedom.

It’s been years since I’ve rested. This time around with Covid I took the sick leave granted under law and am taking good care of myself. I wish moments like this were often woven throughout my days but with two small children, nary a helping hand, and a full time job it takes illness to rest!
