I think the premiere is just pent up aggression from Trump's 2nd term and their Paramount contract dispute which delayed it. PS They also did some cool COVID "movies" during the pandemic too where they jumped to the future to see where the characters were at. They have remained fresh and smart!

There is actually quite a bit. They went to complete season arcs about 10 years ago, actually avoided the whole trump thing in his 1st term, had Stan's family live on a weed farm for 4 years, and actually toned back the purile humour for quite some time.
