Divine Wisdom floats towards me
and turns my direction to show the way
Hospital. Hours. Scans. More Hours. Appendicitis. Morphine now aids my flotation through this ocean of pain.

Excruciating pain I can’t escape from
Advice falls short and I feel left to fend for myself. Prayer echoes empty. What do I want to do?
Another brief moment
I listen within - what do you need?
Hospital. Go to the hospital

I honor this moment of freedom with a tattoo
perfectly drawn and placed to cover a scar from another memory

awe deepens
connection
affirmation from my sister of the water
pure joy now aids my floatation

Memories of the brief moment shared tummy to tummy
“Here comes Jana!”
Awe as I watch the graceful large creature float through the water
towards me and then lift up to turn
her belly graces my belly
I exclaim a giggle as I realize what has just happened
