You are missing the point. Because regardless of whether it's about ideology (and for many people it is, whether or not it is for you), you aren't THE people. You're SOME people. There are a lot of them. It isn't one group or another's unique responsibility to compromise.

I think if one wanted to use tariffs to increase domestic manufacturing, there are ways. these insane blanket tariffs are not it. No need anyway. US manufacturing was already increasing under Biden due to his investments in STEM. Trump just wants to break things so he can fix them. Only he can't.
