How many total votes are anticipated this year?
January 7, 2026 at 4:40 PM
can we take this guys ballot away already?
January 7, 2026 at 1:50 PM
I think even if he falls short in year 10 with something like 60%, that'd make him a lock for a veterans committee ballot on his first go.
January 2, 2026 at 1:45 PM
great minds think alike I suppose.
January 2, 2026 at 1:24 PM
didn't I recommend you show this?
January 2, 2026 at 11:23 AM
What does Abreu's tracker look like next to Larry Walker's?

A guy who’s been at risk of falling off for a few years now is Torii Hunter. Would you ever consider throwing him a vote? He’s not the most exciting sabermetric candidate (better than Omar though), but it feels like a CF with 9 Gold Gloves and 353 dingers should get more consideration.

You say in the article you would have voted for 12-13 players if you had space, and list Mark Buehrle as one, but who were the other 1-2?
December 31, 2025 at 2:35 PM
And people say this man was never elite. He was, y’all just weren’t paying attention.
December 31, 2025 at 2:17 PM
still more mad at the rollins vote over abreu
December 31, 2025 at 1:45 AM
reminder that the commissioner who oversaw mlb during the period of rampant steroid use, who tried to sweep it under the rug, is in cooperstown with a plaque. If that guy is in, why should the players be punished?
December 29, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Is Buehrle someone you'd vote for if you had more than 10 votes?
December 28, 2025 at 12:25 AM
May I ask why Bobby Abreu and K-Rod aren't on your ballot?
December 28, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Abreu vote, good ballot
December 27, 2025 at 9:40 PM
Specifically Bobby Abreu jumping up by twice of what he had last year
December 25, 2025 at 6:05 AM
A Bobby Abreu vote away from being perfect
December 23, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Alright, whatever.

A museum about baseball is incomplete without crucial players such as, let's say, the MLB Hits leader, or, the Home Run King, or maybe, the pitcher with the most Cy Young awards.

That's my take, regardless of character, they belong in the hall, you feel differently, that's all.
December 19, 2025 at 1:14 AM
From that perspective I see what you mean lol.
December 18, 2025 at 11:52 PM
But you ARE okay with card carrying Klansmen like Tris Speaker and Rogers Hornsby being in the hall?

Pete Rose by all accounts seemed like a scumbag, but he's a scumbag who's important to the game of baseball.

Also it's hardly an honor for him, because the sum'bitch died. He'll watching from hell.
December 18, 2025 at 11:51 PM
At what point did I say “I think Pete Rose is a good person“?

Newsflash, I didn’t.

Pete Rose belongs in the hall of fame for the same reason Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens do.

It’s impossible to tell the story of baseball without them.
December 18, 2025 at 6:56 PM
Like I said, there are KLANSMEN in the hall. The character clause is just an excuse voters use to not vote for players they dislike. Also it’s only ever used to keep people out, rather than put them in.
December 18, 2025 at 6:50 PM
Please explain this ballot without sounding like a Homer.

Is Beltran out because of the 2017 Astros?

Is Jones out because of the Domestic Abuse?

You left steroid guys off for the steroids?

What about Bobby Abreu and Cole Hamels? Those guys are also former Phillies.
December 18, 2025 at 6:13 PM
There are Klansmen in the Hall Of Fame. It isn’t the hall of good people. The man with the most hits in MLB history belongs in the Hall of Fame, that really shouldn’t be a hot take.
December 18, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Difference is Pete Rose is a HOFer and Jimmy Rollins isn’t.
