besties who DM TRRPGs, what do you do about players who seem to be averse to working together? that no matter what, the party just seems to NOT COMMUNICATE OR WORK TOGETHER despite every effort? Not in an antagonistic way, but they just don’t seem to think outside of their own stuff? #ttrpg

In the event we somehow manage to dig ourselves out of this, I truly hope that we, collectively, never forget that change and resistance was led by people either willfully leaving the safety of their lives/desks/offices, or were never afforded a life with opportunity for to be an 'elsewhere' at all.

Young people SHOULD “have it easier” than you did. I’m sorry you got the strap up hill both ways and paid your debts with pounds of flesh, but the reason we work for progress is to make growing up and growing old gentler, easier, kinder, freer. Struggle isn’t necessary in a healthy society.

- I am trans enough. My identity is mine alone.
- I am good/talented enough regardless of my output.
- “deserve” is a dangerous word. Take what you need.

Do I constantly feel like I’m missing out on things bc of my intentional stepping back from social media and focusing on my own writing instead of writing FOR publication? Yes. Yes I do.
But have I also written more in the past month than I had the 6 months that came before that? Also yes! So.

has anyone ever considered ditching their MA program with three weeks left to go because the lady you submit the thesis to who gives you formatting notes essentially told you that no matter how many times you try, your project will never look right to her but she refuses to say WHY?
