I rarely reply to other people’s posts and I understand where you’re coming from, but it genuinely hurts to see this. I don’t believe you understand the message of Hopper’s original painting (solitude), it has no relevance with today’s politics.

I love that feeling, too! Been stuck in a rut with a large painting, but over the last 3 days I somehow got the energy to tackle it and it’s coming along better than expected.

I think it looks wonderful already. You have the eyes detailed out, while the rest is not so detailed (out of focus?); can’t help but look towards to the cat’s eyes. Looking forward to seeing the painting when finished 🌟

I love the idea of capturing a candid moment in a painting (we’re too used to cameras) and I adore your petite painting box! I have a set of small brushes (5” in length) that I use during my travels, but have not thought of a petite box to match; thanks!

Really nice challenge!! I might take up on it, I get so frustrated when I have to throw paint away at the end of the day 😢 it’s a waste, even if it’s a few millilitres, but now I might have an alternative 😆
