Eh, he’s been mixed on immigration. When given the chance this past June, he didn’t really criticize ICE, he said this, which was a bit hypocritical:
"Those people that are doing illegal things in America and that are foreigners, they are not smart, because when you come to America, you're a guest, and you have to behave like a guest," he said. "When I go to someone's house and l'm a guest, then I'll do everything I can to keep things clean and to make my bed and do everything that's the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive or something like that," he said. "That doesn't really work in this country."

lol this is Arnold Schwarzenegger, whom today’s ICE would call a criminal illegal alien, given he’s on video smoking pot when he was still a noncitizen. I don’t recall when the video was taken, but it was included in Pumping Iron, released in 1977, 6 years before he naturalized.

The roll-offs hoover up liquidity from the banking system, and mean lenders park less reserves at the Fed - leaving funding costs more vulnerable to rising. Fed officials had previously agreed to end QT once the US banking system showed signs of shifting from a so-called abundant level of liquidity to a regime where they had "ample" supplies of reserves. Officials define an "ample" regime as one with Goldilocks levels of liquidity, where banks can meet their funding requirements at a price in line with officials' benchmark interest rates - but where they are not flush with excess cash. While there are few signs of broad stress, use of the New York Fed's standing repo facility - a backstop that charges higher rates than the central bank's benchmark - recently hit levels last seen during the pandemic. "The evidence from money markets is telling you that you're either very close to shifting from abundant to ample, or you might be there already," said Guha.

Though the new indictment was filed within six months of the dismissal of the old indictment, the District Court dismissed the second indictment on the ground that the saving provisions of § 3288 were inapplicable to an indictment that had been dismissed as a nullity. We think the reindictment was proper and timely. We perceive no significant difference between proceeding on an information that was a nullity because only an indictment would suffice, and proceeding on an indictment that was a nullity because handed down by an invalid grand jury. While we do not wish to use the pejorative word "technicality" to describe appellee's argument, for it is not strictly applicable, we conclude that § 3288 was meant to apply whenever the first charging paper was vacated for any reason whatever, including lack of jurisdiction. The only statutory requirement is that the prosecutor obtain a new indictment within the six-month time limit. The United States Attorney availed himself of the saving clause and the new indictment should not have been dismissed. Reversed.

I’ve been waiting for more to come out on this poor woman, I’ll have to see if I can find the video that shows right before this, the unmarked DHS vehicle was doing a U turn in the middle of the road, which is what caused this, then they brutalized the shocked woman.
