it’s slow going, but i discovered he loves featherlight touches over his little face like a year ago and since then, when i pet him like that, he always wants to smell my face super gently. if we’re outside, he wants me to crouch and kiss the top of his head. he sleeps in my chair sometimes.

not having much dedicated time for the craft is something i really mourn now. sometimes you just need to spend six hours in the library with gfuel, mozz sticks, and a girl with a giant pile of books as high as yours about another author so you can communicate exclusively through sighs for half of it

writing my capstone really was transformative, not just because of what i wrote, but because spending a year immersed in that project and my classmates’ was unlike anything i’d done before or will probably ever do again. it was so stressful but really did force incredible growth from us all lol.

i’m fine doing something that’s less than a dream job (i don’t have one of those anyway) but things are really deteriorating fast.
