And I’m not just saying this because my husband is a Fed (love you 😘). I’m saying it because it’s true, and anyone who has worked for the Federal government, either as an FTE or a contractor or consultant, knows it to be true, too.

They truly are the backbone of our country, and anyone who buys into the “lazy government worker” stereotype/trope can fuck off into the sun. If you believe that then there is no way you’ll ever have the skills to do their job, or the ability to work with them like my colleagues and I do.

I have been in the Fed consulting space for many many years now, and I have never worked with a community more intelligent, resilient, hardworking, and devoted to our nation than them. /2

I don’t just deal with them - I support them, I work alongside them, I advise them, I develop solutions with them and for them. They are PISSED and I’m pissed for them and with them. /1
