I don’t understand why Dems would use “tariff” when discussing this as opposed to “import taxes.”

“The new import taxes on American business that Trump imposed today etc etc.”

(specifically social distancing because of the flu & it's risks on pregnancies)

I am planning a trip back now and it feels like a war zone. It's all anyone can think about. Another wants a big family, but is settling for one-and-done because she doesn't want her daughter to lose a mother. One friend (a NICU nurse) is pregnant, but I won't visit her as she's social distancing.

Another friend and her husband are terrified to keep trying after two miscarriages. After many, many tests, the specialist has told them these miscarriages were very typical. But they are terrified of what might happen if they have another miscarriage.

Apparently there is now a series about it starring the one and only Margot Martindale, but I don't like the streaming platform it's on so 🤷

Whatever you wanna do, take the excuse to celebrate. The secularisation of the world has stripped from us so many excuses for a party.

Grab a candle. Go get crêpe ingredients. Open a jar of honey. Invite your friends over. Eat too much. Laugh. For God's sake, find joy in this life.
