I'm trying to imagine how this would go over in the class I was helping my sister with. (Business communications skills--"find a job posting via your Linkedin account and answer some questions about how you'd fill out an application for this job. Include a screen shot of the posting.")

Also, the greater the (real-life) lag between releases, the less I care about continuity. You're going to release a sequel 2 years later? Yeah, I expect most things to be consistent. Is it 20 years later? Whatever, knock yourself out, it doesn't matter.

I think incumbents who are generally doing a good job will beat back their challengers easily. I also think some of them who think they're doing a good job are going to find out whether they really are.

I enjoyed it enough when I watched it earlier this year, that I picked up the 4K at the last Criterion sale. Like all 1980s movies, I wonder what I would have thought of it if I'd seen it when it came out.

I got this useful bon mot from a middle school teacher recently.
In response to, “I DONT UNDERSTAND,” he calmly said, “okay what steps have you taken to understand?”
And that’s when I realized that a lot of folks have no steps.

The ONLY good part is 50 years of inflation will drive down the real value of your payment, assuming it's a fixed-rate loan.
