AJ Budrys pointed out to me once that to even think to write or perform for people, and then to go ahead and actually do it, is an act of courage. The fan recognizes that courage and becomes disillusioned if the hero falters. /E

It is -- and it's something I took a time to learn as a broadcaster. The performer, the writer, the dancer, is a HERO and had darned well better act like one. /1
