This is a toxic place because people engage but do not know what they're talking about and think sharp, dramatic replies is the way to promulgate whatever particular form their ignorance takes.

I've been convinced for years that this is why Citizens United doesn't seem insane to so many otherwise non-grifters -- they literally don't see a difference between the way large entities and individuals function. "Oh, yeah, I guess that makes sense--" NO, it doesn't!
