Yeah, but that was by the House Committee who may decide to not share any of it. I was thinking if Smith's team could record it, legally, they should have done so, just in case.

I was wondering if it would have been legal for Smith or his lawyer to (at least) audio record the proceedings for themselves. At the very least, that would allow them to rebut any fantasies the GOP members might concoct.

I'm a gun owner, and I completely agree. I go even further, telling parents that if they are allowing their children to go to someone else's home, they should ask the adults in that house if they have firearms, and if so, how they are secured. And more beyond that, but that's another thread.
