Re: "Woke." The GOP stole a word from Black American culture that had it's own sociolinguistic trajectory, wrapped up all socially progressive ideas w/in that word, attached the word to academic verbiage about these same ideas, & then proceeded to use the word like a multi-purpose voodoo doll.
"Woke" became a dysphemism c. ~2020. Using the word--always w/o definition--has allowed detractors to attack equality & other social good thru connotation & flimsy association. If online leftists actually cared about antifascism they would take stock of the fact that we have a decade's-worth of evidence that their online behavior--including the bullying--has been manipulated by foreign powers in order to elect Trump, who is a fascist. They'd then change their behavior.
