I'm hoping to secure a permanent full-time job in the enviro field by March, but if I can't, I'll do Otago Uni's Master of Wildlife Management part-time and will find part-time mahi to live & volunteer for experience while continuing the job search.

Seen a lot of "3g shut down isn't a big deal just buy a $70 phone" but that means a massive downgrade in functionality or carrying two phones, unless you have enough money to replace your otherwise perfect phone with a new VoLTE capable one with equivalent functionality (which I don't)
