They must be blasting across Masset Inlet, that explosion shook the house and scared the dogs! It showed up at the nearest seismic station too (@12:13 ish pm)

Good evening @earthquakeguy.bsky.social - I noticed the latest HG shake was listed as Mw, but the others on the list are ML. Does the 3.9Mw get converted (forgive my lack of knowledge) to ML after investigation?

@earthquakeguy.bsky.social am I understanding that the fault structure off the w coast Haida Gwaii is changing into something like the faults by Van Isl? Or is it just clarity of what has always been there (as HG gets big earthquakes & the 2012 quake surprised some by the tsunami it generated).

If you've ever had to travel on the ferry to Haida Gwaii, you know the # of stairs it takes to get to the passenger decks/cabins. Now there is no lift or stair chair available & no eta for repair. For people on medical/need assistance, it's a terrible situation 💩

I planted 150 daffodil and jonquil bulbs on a cold rainy night in November. I thought they probably wouldn't make it, but they live!!!

Me when I found out that most of the recycling on Haida Gwaii goes to the landfill, and then realising bigger picture below sigh
