Our firefighters used a MegaMover (basically a tarp stretcher) to carry the two bucks back outside- safely and carefully. We’re guessing they will think twice before their next late-night showdown. The CPW officers tagged the bucks, and when the tranquilizer wore off, they were released. 3/3

The startled homeowner called Colorado Parks and Wildlife, who sent two officers with a tranquilizer gun. But before they could put the two intruders to sleep, they called in West Metro Company 15 for some extra muscle. 2/3

West Metro Company 7 was there to make sure everyone was safe & healthy. Tessa and her family dropped in for her first visit to Station 7 a few weeks later. Today, she came back- this time to celebrate her 10th birthday. 2/2 💛🚒🎂

West Metro Company 5 just happened to be driving by, and the passerby flagged them down.
The crew climbed down into the drain, and pulled them all out, carrying them over to mom who was anxiously waiting nearby. 2/2

At this time, the cause is believed to be an electrical malfunction, although the investigation is ongoing.
Proper sprinkler activation on both floors of the building undoubtedly reduced damage to the two units and the entire structure. 2/2

All residents were able to evacuate safely. The fire caused damage to two units, and smoke and water damage to two other units. Four families have been displaced. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 2/2
