Trump says he has confidence in Hegseth's denial of second strike to kill two survivors. Trust his word - how about if we all pass on that one?

I think running for office as anti-Republican is actually running for office as a conservative nowadays. It's quite conservative to support a document and its policies that are the founding principles of democracy itself.

Since 9-11, the military was honored with "thank you for your service!" What's it going to be after 2025? "Get the hell off my streets?"

Wishful thinking: SCOTUS rules that Presidential pardons for crimes not yet prosecuted or not yet committed are unlawful and still subject to appropriate punishments.

George Washington was an officer in the Virginia colonial militia. Washington’s loyalty was to Great Britain at that time. Later he led the American Revolution. Our generals are resigning rather than following unlawful orders. Which will lead the defense of democracy against this tyrant?

Impeachment trials are held in the Senate and require a 2/3 vote to convict. In this political climate, impeachment can't punish and hasn't succeeded for any president and only 8 federal judges. In 1804, a judge was impeached with conviction for "unlawful rulings." Let's go for it.

“Our agency is simply not equipped to carry out this case while meeting the essential duties required under the current budget — or under any realistically conceivable budget the State could provide.” - Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. Now it is too expensive to uphold the law??

Putin showed him how to do it. Now Trump is attempting to annex Gaza and Venezuela. Just like Hitler in the 30s and Putin today with Ukraine.

Worse than big money in political messaging is religious leaders telling their believers to believe in the worst politicians.

Many who thought they were suffering voted for Trump in '24. In a short 10 months, they know now what real suffering is like - and there's more to come.

I remember when David Souter was named Justice of SCOTUS. The GOP had great hopes for him, but he turned out to be a patriotic American who voted his conscience rather than the GOP dogma. His kind are extinct nowadays. Left and right, I fear.

They are going to blame Joe Biden for the DC shooting.
November 27, 2025 at 3:08 AM
They say the DC shooter is an Afghani who immigrated in 2021. In the year 2025, Afghan refugees are being rounded up and deported for no other reason than they are not citizens. Bets are he worked with US forces prior to that. Just sayin'.

In our justice system, the Grand Juror's job is to be skeptical of the prosecution. The people must consent for the accused to even go to trial.

Trump's idea of a legal order is akin to "just shoot them (civilians) in the leg."
November 26, 2025 at 3:53 AM
I don't want to see headlines about those defying court orders. It's only important news when the headline reads: They're in jail for defying a court order.

I have a question. Is Hegseth's military no longer teaching recruits the Uniform Code of Justice? No longer teaching "it is your duty to refuse to obey an unlawful order?"

Ken Paxton said, “For years, Democrats have engaged in partisan redistricting intended to eliminate Republican representation" in Texas. The first (ever?) mid-decade redistricting was by the Gop in Texas in 2003. The last influence the Dems had in TX redistricting was in 2001 - at the normal time.

In about 1964, Johnson declared he wouldn't run for president. His Vice President Humphrey belatedly ran and lost to the future criminal Nixon. In 2024, Biden declared he wouldn't run and his Vice President Harris ran and lost to the already convicted criminal Trump. Fascinating.

Military members were told to disobey "unlawful orders." Since Trump can't distinguish between lawful and unlawful, he understandably - but erroneously - thinks they were told to disobey ALL his orders.

Have you heard? Multiple sources report that Col. Gen. Oleg Makarevich is leading an advisory mission in Venezuela. His unit, the “Equator Task Force,” is said to include around 120 Russian personnel embedded with Venezuelan forces in areas like drones, signals intelligence, and special forces.

Federal agency heads and congress and the white House personnel should be required to put investment money in a blind trust upon assuming office. When they leave office they should be only allowed to keep their compounded salary + benchmark interest and whatever their blind trusts have earned.

Trump about Ilhan Omar: "she comes in and tells us how to run our country.” Because you don't know how to do it lawfully!
November 23, 2025 at 3:06 AM
"Oath Keepers" who attacked our seat of government on Jan. 6, 2021, by order of the "commander in chief" actually violated their oath by carrying out a decidedly "unlawful order." And so their commander in chief pardoned them all while he demands all the military carry out his unlawful orders.
