Journo, writer, lover of stories that end abruptly. Find me at Ricochet Media, The Canadian National Observer, Capital Daily, Women’s Media Centre and Watershed Sentinel.
Last night, I went to see the powerful documentary From Ground Zero. These 22 short films are harrowing, beautiful, and pierce the heart. Filmed over a year ago, we see Gaza in moments of a kind of digital amber that leaves you breathless and wondering who in the films remains alive. #FreePalestine

To my USian friends, this organic coffee is roasted right here in B.C. (so within State) and this is what they’re charging for a small bag of beans. How does this compare? Not to Trader Joes but to a local roast.

This feels bananas to me and I’m about to kick Kicking Horse to the curb.

Haisla Nation has published its rejection of the proposed Pacific pipeline. Kitimat and Haisla have delivered more energy megaprojects than almost any jurisdiction in the country but draw the line at transporting Alberta bitumen and shipping it through BC’s coastal
waters.

I saw some guys attempt to slack like over the river. They didn’t make it across but it was a valiant effort.
