Tomorrow is Earth Overshoot Day 2025, the day of the year that humanity has used up replenishable earth resources, and sustains itself by natural capital. You do know what happens when you spend down principal in finance, don't you? Glad I won't be around to see the result.

WTF?! Under the “big, beautiful bill,” travelers to the US will need to pay a “visa integrity fee” of at least $250, though it’s unclear so far when the fee will be implemented and how visitors will pay it.

Another little visited hiking destination on Memorial Day, into Maverick Canyon to Juanita Natural Bridge. Quite the adventure, with a river crossing & and traversing canyon walls, only 6 miles, but 5 hours of effort. With @westernslopemike.bsky.social

Hike into Sieber Canyon today for an amazing 100 ft long rock petroglyph panel. Fremont culture I think, 300 AD to 1300 AD. We counted 23 figures. Only 5.75 miles, but a tough 4 hours—no official trail, and 50 floors into the canyon & back out. With @westernslopemike.bsky.social
