'cela nous concerne tous'
Just so. I was listening to 'Miseducation' the other night which was definitely not aimed at me, but is just soul to me and a lovely record.

Taking corners tight up against a hostile crowd.
Marvellous, as Ron Manager would say.

Ok. Sounds really interesting. I know the band's name but I've never listened. I'll check it out, ta.

Ah, I don't know much about him, Lea but I'll definitely check him out soon as, on your recommendation. Graçias.

She is. A true artist. I saw her in Edinburgh in her great days. I'll never forget it.

Definitely

Not at all, Mairi. You'd always be on it just for your tee shirts alone.😄
For me it's a continuous line music. Everything comes from something before but there's so many strands now you can't possibly love them all. It's loving music per se that's important.

An easy thing to do though, Lea. Long live him and Ms Mitchell.

Are you guys kidding? It was just yesterday, surely?

On YouTube.
I saw Lindisfarne three times in Glasgow in their great days and while I've seen many people over the years who'd be regarded as greater artists, I've never yet had more fun than I had at those three Lindisfarne gigs.

Don't know Sheena. They'll have to call the refs out to see if the balls will bounce and run.😂

That's brutalist. Poor Mike. 😉

Linda giving the Vickys there. Nice to see Americans using the proper finger insult.

She's on here, Suzanne, @kazbaaa.bsky.social ,give her a follow - and a question for Scottish pantomime producers, what are you playing at? See her latest post. She should have been signed up long, long ago.

Excellent

I'm busy reading his Zoë Boehm thrillers presently, MG, before they're all shown on TV. Just the first one, 'Down Cemetery Road' out so far on TV and I've read that already.

I'm sure that's true. I just don't see the reason for changing it from North Korea. Bad guys in thrillers, whether book, film, or TV show are there to show us how clever and resourceful the heroes are.
The real glory of the books and the TV series for me is the Lamb Taverner relationship.
November 2, 2025 at 7:24 AM
I wouldn't say spoiled by having watched the series MG, the dialogue is still sharp and funny, but obviously thrillers are built on their tension and if you've seen it on TV then that'll be gone from the book. Same the other way round. The TV show remains brilliantly entertaining but lacks tension.

The odd thing is that in the book, 'London Rules', from which series 5 is taken, the terrorists are North Korean and not from the Middle East at all. I don't know who made the editorial decision on TV, to make the bad guys Libyan rather than Korean, or indeed, why.
I agree 100% about the cast.
