I just like the description of Grassley as “tireless.”

So he spent a lot of time doing some serious introspection during his time away.

Know someone else who got one.

He was actually pretty shitty at football too.

Do we have a “laugh” reaction yet?

Destroying your current customer base in an effort to obtain a different customer base, which has never shown an interest in being your customer, might not be the genius move he thought it was.

“I don’t regret voting for the guy who is destroying my business because I categorize his opponent as anti-business.”

“Bittersweet”

These are people who six months ago were freaking out about the state seizing a squirrel.
March 17, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Some irony in seeing Liberia on that list.
March 15, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Pssst. If you have to pass a bill to protect people from the bill you just let through, you done messed up.
March 14, 2025 at 10:40 PM
Right. He’s testing the system. And the answer he’s getting this that he can count on Democrats to help him enact his agenda.

The hubris of calling this surrender a “fight” is maddening.
March 14, 2025 at 10:06 PM
The fight does not continue. You laid down your arms.
March 14, 2025 at 10:03 PM
No one’s buying it.
March 14, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Thank you for phrasing it “joined the GOP.” The GOP needed Dems to get what they want. Could not do it without them. And the Dems obliged them, without asking for one thing in return. Criminal.

Sadly there were 10 collaborators.

ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/480/cps... Schumer and his ten turncoats would’ve hopped on the tanks and urged them forward, arguing it’s better to run over one guy now because maybe they would run over more later.
March 14, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Great work, Schatz.
March 14, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Congratulations, you whipped 8 votes?
March 14, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Time to leave the mailing list.
March 14, 2025 at 8:48 PM
It’s wild to me that a party’s leader is trying to desperately to get 7 TOTAL votes.

It doesn’t feel like trying to peel off a super-minority of your caucus to upend the will of the vast majority is a traditional definition of leadership.

UPDATE: @hirono.senate.gov, like Schumer, has locked her office to the public.
March 14, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Always a sign that you are proud of your work.
March 14, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Concerned they are going to let exactly as many vote no as to allow cloture.
March 14, 2025 at 4:18 PM
“I’m going to vote for the bad thing because I’m scared they might possibly do a worse thing.” Leadership.
