Bath Christmas Market is here! ✨🎄

I loved exploring all the fantastic stalls by local businesses on opening night.

If you want to get into the festive spirit, or looking to buy that special gift, make sure to head on down. The market runs from 27 November to Sunday 14 December -don't miss it!❄️

Great to meet Sunsave's co-founder Ben Graves.

His company’s solar subscription model is doing fantastic work bringing rooftop solar to homes across the UK.

It was exciting to hear about their ambitions to bring cheap renewable energy to households nationwide.

Many Hongkongers in my constituency are deeply concerned about potential changes to Indefinite Leave to Remain.

I welcome confirmation that BNO visa holders can secure permanent residency after 5 years, but income & language rules are still unresolved.

The Government must provide certainty.

And here the starkest warning- Climate Change kills.
Mass mortality, mass displacement, severe economic contraction leading to global conflict.

We already know the solutions.

Without action these warnings become reality.
November 27, 2025 at 10:44 AM
The National Emergency briefing is driving home that the pace of change continues to be far too slow.

Scientist have warned time and again about the dire consequences of uncontrolled temperature rises for food supplies, health, destruction of homes and infrastructure and global displacement.

I'm at the National Emergency Briefing this morning, where the stark reality of our rapidly worsening climate & nature crises is being made clear.

Loss of nature is rapidly accelerating. We need urgent national & global action to reverse this - including combating rising climate misinformation. 🌎

The Chancellor has spotted the problem but refused the obvious cure.

The fastest way to turbocharge economic growth is to fix our relationship with the EU & plug the £90billion Brexit blackhole.

Instead, all this Budget does is again fail to tackle the cost of living crisis & boost our economy.

The South West must be heard in this Budget.

That's why we South West @libdems.org.uk MPs went to the Treasury yesterday to outline what we want to see in this Budget to support our region.

The Government cannot ignore the serious issues we’re raising - it’s time they listen and deliver.
November 25, 2025 at 5:53 PM
In the Chancellor's spending review in June, she barely mentioned the South West.

Our people & communities deserve to have their needs listened to.

This Budget must be different. We, South West @libdems.org.uk MPs, are fighting to ensure our region cannot be ignored again.

Our hospitality sector is vital to Bath, loved by locals & visitors.

That’s why, alongside @bathnes.bsky.social, I’m calling for local authorities to be given the power to introduce a visitors’ levy in this Budget, with the funds raised going directly to supporting our local hospitality sector.
November 25, 2025 at 12:46 PM
My fellow @libdems.org.uk MPs and I are demanding the South West gets the support it needs in this Budget. 🔶

For Bath, I’m calling for better SEND provision so no child is left without the support they need to learn and thrive.

The SEND system is collapsing; this Budget, the Government must act.

1 woman or girl is killed every 10 minutes by a partner or family member.

This International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, we must confront this horrendous reality.

Whether in the home, online or elsewhere, we must end this abuse.

It is unacceptable that the Child Maintenance Service is failing to take action over unpaid child support.

In Parliament, I raised my constituent’s case of being stuck in a cycle of receiving one-off payments followed by nothing.

The Government must ensure children & parents get what they're owed.

Our maternity services are being pushed to the brink.

65% of units aren’t meeting “good” safety standards according to the Care Quality Commission. This is terrifying.

That's why I’ve signed Helen Morgan’s letter urging the Government to take immediate action.

Drift Energy’s “fishing boats for energy” will see autonomous, high-performance boats produce green hydrogen at sea as they drag their hull-mounted turbines through the ocean.

Reducing reliance on fossil fuels & creating manufacturing & maritime jobs, this is an exciting concept right here in Bath!
November 21, 2025 at 5:11 PM
If we’re serious about hitting our 2030 electric vehicle targets, the Government must make EVs an affordable option & invest in the necessary infrastructure - including accessible charging points.

After meeting with Volkswagen, I asked the government what steps they’re taking to make this happen. 🚗
November 21, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Grid capacity is a major obstacle to decarbonising maritime transport.🚢

That's why I urged the Government to prioritise upgrading port grid infrastructure, so the UK can remain a global leader in moving towards clean, green shipping.⚡
November 21, 2025 at 1:32 PM
In this Budget, we need to slash VAT for hospitality by 5% to support our high streets.

I'm proud to stand with my fellow @libdems.org.uk fighting for hardworking people and local businesses. 🔶

Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honour the transgender lives tragically lost to violence.

We @libdems.org.uk remain committed to protecting and upholding the rights and dignity of everyone in the LGBT+ community.

We must put an end to this loss of life.
November 20, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Today in Parliament we discussed Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) - a serious, complex & woefully misunderstood illness.

Those suffering deserve proper care and treatment.

That's why it's so important we educate healthcare professionals & the public on the realities of this debilitating condition.
November 20, 2025 at 2:04 PM
November 20th is Carers Rights Day.

5.8m people in the UK provide unpaid care to family & friends - which our health & social care system depends on.

Caring impacts a persons wellbeing, education, work & finances. We must ensure they know their rights so they don’t miss out on essential support.
November 20, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Great to meet with Volkswagen today to discuss how we can scale up electric vehicles and boost consumer confidence. To support this the Government must deliver a joined up policy approach.

EVs are essential to cutting emissions and driving us towards a cleaner and greener future.🚗⚡

It’s International Men’s Day.

Many men facing mental health struggles stay silent and don't ask for help. Let’s end the stigma and encourage open conversations. 🗣️

Good role models matter to young boys, so today lets also celebrate all those who show boys how to grow into decent men.

From urging the Government to end political appointments to the BBC’s leadership, to calling for greater support for children with dyslexia- this past week I've been standing up for issues that matter to you.

Here's a snapshot of what else I've been up to. 📸
