To sum up my answer to the @kidlitchat.bsky.social original topic, I think: I'm grateful that the technology exists to offer more accessibility options for those who find traditional methods of creating more of a challenge. ❤️

A belated hello to #KidLitChat! I need to add this weekly chat to my calendar so I don’t forget 😅 I started using #Scrivener a few years ago & it’s been a game changer. I wrote all drafts of my forthcoming debut novel on Scrivener. Amazing organizational tool designed for writers!
TOPIC: How does technology impact your creative process? Is there 'must have' tech for you? And how does technology--past, present and future--shape the stories we tell? #kidlitchat

I haven’t written a single word of my WIP since I’ve been recovering from RSV and pneumonia. I’m still not 100% but I miss writing, so I hope to jump back into those pages soon. Any tips for restarting a writing routine? #kidlit #amwriting

There's a misconception that children's literature is less compelling or important. It's not true.

Even if we think kids aren't ready to talk about difficult things, the reality is that they're already witnessing and experiencing them. Books can help them understand & process their daily lives.

Had a great time chatting with so many awesome writers during #KidLitChat! I love how active the kidlit community is on here. Thanks for hosting @gregpincus.bsky.social @bonnieadamson.com, and Happy New Year, everyone! ✨

My resolution this year is to write for at least half an hour every day. In 2023, I wrote (almost) every day for 20 min, not including the breaks I took in October for my wedding and December for the holidays, so I feel like a 10-min increase should be doable 🤞🏻 #KidLitChat
TOPIC: It's New Year's creative/business resolutions time! Share yours! And be honest... when good intentions meet the cold light of day, which ones are gonna be the stickiest? Plus... have you broken any yet? #kidlitchat

Hello again, Bluesky friends! Sorry I dropped off here...I've been trying to figure out all of my social media homes (you know how it is). I'm back tonight because I'm joining #KidLitChat for the first time — hooray!

Hi everyone! I am super new here and feeling kind of social-media shy, but I read @debbieohi.bsky.social's tips and they helped a lot!

I'm a middle-grade writer and a journalist covering disability issues. Would love to meet more people in the kidlit and disability community 👋🏼
