One of my mugs that I’m creating to do a little stop motion project for my first assignment this semester. (Used @miloberezin.bsky.social technique on some black mountain slab mugs)

On this day 13 years ago 17 year old Trayvon Benjamin Martin was murdered in Miami Gardens, Florida. This incident, more than any other, started the modern police abolitionist movement. Remember Trayvon.

Back in class today for spring semester and I was testing color variations with different clay bodies and slip before I start my first assignment. So I can decide which color way I’m going.

Last spring during my first ceramics hand building class. I started making these abstract bunny heads. Made this one from a slab cylinder. Something about this bunny makes me unbelievably happy. And never not puts a smile on my face, so I’m going to continue to make it and call my govt officials.

Last spring’s pinch pot rattle assignment out of the bisque fire.

One of my first thrown plates. Did a little sgraffito over a messy underglazed crab. I used a dark body clay with a clear glaze and I love that it turned this light grey color.

I made this pinch pot rattle in my first ceramics class last spring. I was trying for an abstract bunny shape since part of the assignment was that it couldn’t be representational.
I downloaded the 5calls app last week. I had blocked out how much calling I did the first time around.

I made this mug in my hand building class last spring. I pressed a piece of lace into the handle and at the seam. It’s another one that’s not usable as is, it needs a refiring because the clear glaze is crazing.

I always love @designmom.bsky.social takes.
When I hear women worship RFK and claim that embracing MAHA is about keeping their kids healthy, my mind goes to the crappiest co-worker you’ve ever had: The guy who didn’t contribute anything for the presentation, but found a typo at the last minute, and then took credit for all the work.

Hear me out —

If parents call colleges freaked about their FAFSA data being leaked, schools may have to issue statements — which would reach a whole lot more families about how warped this is.

Organizing isn’t always calling electeds. Sometimes it’s just calling people with a bigger megaphone.
Musk staff have access to student aid data now.

I guess I’m giving good cat energy lately. This fellow stopped me in the asile at the used bookstore, so I squatted down to pet him and he hopped onto my legs until I took a seat in the floor. The store employee said he’d nap if I let him.

This cat at the hardware store walked into the isle and stopped me and then demanded pets. I was super honored to do his bidding.

I have a love hate when I have to use the laundromat. Love that it is sort of fast hate the lugging all the supplies and my pockets loaded with quarters. I used the giant machine for the first time though because I was washing alllllll the blankets. Love that my laundromat has snacks next door.
