That is very cool, but it doesn’t appear to have the angled/faceted design that made the BlackBerry keyboards so very, very good.

I would pay a lot for an iPhone with a BlackBerry keyboard replacing the bottom quarter of the screen.

It just popped into my head that the number of people who would benefit from progressive lenses and can’t afford them might be part of this problem…

I just assumed that grandson was imminently expected or too young to travel or be exposed to gatherings last Christmas.

I would place my bet on grandma overstepping, being warned and eventually being entirely cut off.

My error was in assuming that if Honda had applied Steer-by-Wire, it must be ubiquitous, as Honda had a history of being slow to adopt new technologies outside of the Powertrain.
December 13, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Yes, but “steer by wire” is the technology that makes the car function. It has nothing to do with the OEM’s questionable interior decorating choices…
December 13, 2025 at 3:04 PM
I know Honda uses it, but it looks like other automakers are still adopting it. Toyota uses it for Lexus but apparently was still using hydraulics for Toyotas until this year.
Drive by wire (where the throttle signal is sent electronically) was adopted by many automakers already.

Steer by wire eliminates a hydraulic system prone to leaking and failure. Just about everyone is doing it now.

The Traverse City Film Festival…seeing 10 or 11 fabulous movies in sold out theaters, often with Q&A with the filmmakers after. It was fabulous…

My husband realized this week that he teaching the youngest cat to request chest rubbing by…sinking a claws into my husband’s leg. My husband would wince, unhook the claw, and then rub the cat’s chest.

Now husband just places his left hand so that if the cat rolls over, the hand is on the chest.

“Cat support….uh-huh, uh-huh…have you tried nibbling on the human’s wrist?….”
December 10, 2025 at 7:10 PM
I had a cat who noticed that I always stroked her when she climbed on my lap. So if I stopped petting before she was ready, she’s climb off my lap on to the end table, turn around and climb back on my lap. Obviously needed to re-start the human…

Because while cicadas are always present (endemic) there are some species ;(in NorthAmrrica) that hide underground for years and emerge in such numbers that people worry about tree limbs breaking under their weight.

The overlap between corporate CEOs, people who understand that South Park is satire, and people who understand what satire is….does not include anyone with power at CNN.
