They will tell you
that this virus
is a dangerous bioweapon
that escaped
from a laboratory,
but if they see you
taking any steps
to protect yourself
from this virus
they will tell you
that this virus
is really just a cold.

Dear BlueSkyers. Sadly I'm getting many reports of scammers pretending to be me here, incl messaging people with 'investments' . Pls share/help me spread word that, as you know, THIS IS MY ONLY BLUE SKY account (proved as my handle is an official MoneySavingExpert one). All others are scams

I never expected the decline and fall of the West to be brought about by a form of vacuous consent. But maybe that's how these things happen. Adolescents crying 'boring!' in the face of their forebears' work.

We are trained to despair, to be furious, to blame the wrong people - the refugee, the trans, the single mother etc - imagine real balance in the media - where the percentage of coverage of those really making our lives worse was an accurate reflection of their actions and effect

What’s wrong with Bluesky?
Dozens of people seem to think it’s a dating site, sending DMs like “Hi, how’s the weather, let’s get to know each other.”
It’s like an epidemic at this point
Really annoying.

As paying tax is a direct investment in our society, we should encourage people to be proud of it. Tell rich people that, instead of showing off about their charity work and dodging their taxes, they can show off about the tax they pay. They could pay their bill with a big show off cheque to HMRC.
