We have a new dog! His name is Chibi, he’s a rescue, he’s two years old, and he’s 7 pounds. So tiny!

I try to take pictures of Winnie. Sometimes they are good pictures! Sometimes they are just ridiculous. 😂

I love that we’re building holiday traditions. Tonight we got to do our annual Mission Inn Lights visit and we brought a couple of friends! No pictures of people due to my teenager not approving the pictures.

Foster dog got fixed today. He was very loopy afterwards. He just sat still and stared at nothing. The evening walk included him frantically barking at nothing, so I’m kind of wondering if he was hallucinating. He has calmed down, thankfully.

A new foster dog is living with us! He's a 3 year old mini Schnauzer who was used as a stud. He wants all the attention and loves to play. I have no interest in keeping him because he's not snuggly, but he will find his place eventually. He's shaved down right now (probably mats).

Selfie from the day before Thanksgiving, trying to show some small piece of how amazing the Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibit is in Seattle.

Everything is made of glass, and it’s amazingly complex. This artist figured out how to make colors in glass pop by putting an extra layer of white glass between colored layers. Some of the bowls later in the exhibit are completely different colors on the outside and inside. They’re beautiful. He also did a set of chandeliers in Venice-all glass, and huge. I’d never heard of him before but I am fascinated.

Got a reflection of the Space Needle in a blue glass sphere at Chihuly Garden and Glass.

He did chandeliers in Venice! The gardens outside are planted to frame the glass pieces and the effects are stunning. I love this blue color, though, and the reflection made me smile.

Winnie and Leo, mom’s dog, who is visiting for a bit. I’m glad they get along. I’m enjoying extra snuggles. The cats are irritated, but that’s life. Leo will go home eventually.

A few years ago I got a heated mattress pad. I turn it on an hour or so before going to bed and I often turn it all the way off before going to sleep. Climbing into a warm bed is a luxury, and since the heat rises, it’s better than an electric blanket. The cats also approve.

My favorite times to look at the sky are the dawn and dusk moments when the trees look black against the darkening skies. I got lucky and caught that moment tonight.

Winnie needed a little blanket for therapy dog visits and a friend made one. I love it so much-rainbow colors with hearts and dog paw prints!

I cooked tonight-chicken and wild rice soup with biscuits. I didn’t get a picture with all 6 biscuits. 😂 Definitely comfort food.

I almost never get to wear warm clothes here, but I recently got something I loved-the dragon from Spirited Away!-and today it is actually cold enough to wear it!

I have no idea. I can’t see most of those in her physically. She looks like a mop if she hasn’t been clipped! These are when we first got her (2 years ago) and after her last grooming appointment.
A mostly white dog who looks impressively mop-like. She looks like she’s smiling. A much less furry dog, mostly white, grey brown muzzle and ears, sitting partially in shadow. Her fur is very short, which is good because I don’t have time to brush her for half an hour a day.

This is my dog. Almost 40% MinPin and Chihuahua, but she's 32 pounds.
Results of DNA test on a pictured fluffy white-ish dog with a blue harness. 20.3% Chihuahua, 19.4% Miniature Pinscher, 15.9% Australian Cattle Dog (this is where she gets her double coat!), 14.5% Cocker Spaniel (she has to sniff EVERYTHING), 13.7% American Pit Bull Terrier (absolutely no indication of this one), 9.5% Poodle (probably where the brown eyes come in), and 6.7% Supermutt. No Wheaten Terrier despite the fact that several Wheaten Terrier breeders have asked if she is one when she's groomed a certain way.

I walk the dog every morning, leave peanuts for the corvids, and listen to a meditation. It helps my mental health. This morning the meditation was on noticing good things, so I took a picture so you can see it, too. (Southern California, a lot of plants still blooming.)
