There's something delicious about writing settings that are equal parts cozy and unsettling. Wouldn't you want to visit a Victorian mansion and enjoy a picnic on the grounds or wait until dusk for a glimpse at wisps?

If I had a nickel for every book I read this weekend where someone's fae spouse came back from the dead, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot... But seriously? Two separate book series/authors and I just happened to pick up the one's where some faery faked their death 😅

I was feeling down so I went outside to pull weeds and then came back in to make banana bread. Did it fix anything? Not really.

I'm writing a witchy little romance novel with a demon hunter love interest, a protagonist with a terrible lease and a wonderful bookshop, and a cozy seaside city full of magical creatures and more than a few mishaps and misadventures.
