Something that I've always done to cope with negative moments in my life is remembering that I cannot be the only person going through something -- whether it's stubbing my toe, or emergency surgery, or whatever -- someone else has been through it and the world continued on. My pain is not unique.

Been seeing a wellness coach since I finished active cancer treatment. She asked “what’s on your mind” and I burst into bawling tears. She said she hasn’t spoken to a client who wasn’t crying in the last couple of days. Anyway. We’re not alone in our fear and grief
