He he. Totally fair. I hope you, your 12 year old and their friends have fun when you run it! Nothing better than seeing the excitement of new players when they fall in love with a RPG and realise the world is there for them to explore and tell stories in. :)

It has to spark not for you as well. You are at the table, running it, and should enjoy it too.

Based on that running commentary, you seem to be going into this with a lot of negative preconceptions and trepidation. How you run any game is always up to you. And Lost Mine isn't that railroady. If you really don't want to run D&D, you probably should look for an alternative?

Also from a recent year... Always a pleasure to visit your stand.

Shadow Under Hardflint Hall by JVC Parry is one of my favourites. It has puzzles, it has dungeon exploration in a long list mine and an overall fun story: share.google/IliwPJ7eh4mj...

It's also not too long. so a good trial adventure.

Deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Is when I search for the light
Pick up my pen and start to write
I struggle and fight dark forces
In the clear moonlight without fear
Insomnia
I can't get no sleep

I don't know the IP at all. What is it like and what makes it worth being excited about as a movie?

You too, eh? Those sneaky people describing an Old West game so enticing I was powerless to resist.
Love what I heard of the system and the type of campaign play it offers.
Well played @effektpodcast.org . I couldn't resist.

I have the brain thing too. My mind palace declutters itself on its own. :)
I've been re-listening to the whole series because a) they are always fun b) I want to remember the world correctly before running the 3 case files scenarios.

Out of curiosity, and if you can say, what prompted the forensic re-read? It seems like you are already pretty well versed in the story and lore considering your involvement in the rules and scenarios. More exciting things ahead? If so, insta buy for me. :)

As a French speaker, I love all those words borrowed from French! :)
My nemesis is "fulfill". Without autocorrect, I still don't know how many L's to go for.
And I can never remember which one means what in: dependent vs dependant. Even though I use them often. My brain won't have it. :(

Ooh. J'ai tendance à rater les financements francophones. Ce jeu a l'air sympa. Je vais rechercher des avis le concernant. Merci pour la découverte.

Oh nice! I didn't realise it was so common.

And,on the topic of learning, did you know Latin students in Belgium sometimes use a Latin edition of the Asterix comics as a learning tool? Peter might have enjoyed learning from those more than from dusty old serious books. :)

Not an old bookshop, but I gave in to temptation and bought this today. And it's a great read so far! Bookshops are full of tempting things... 😄

Will you be at DragonMeet in London? I would love to see it in person and find out more.

Sounds like an interesting opportunity. I would love to visit Spiel some year. What stand are you working?

My son and I saw Alien at the cinema this weekend. The sense of scale remains amazing. The refinery dwarfs everything on screen. The Alien ship and its cavernous space. The run through the Nostromo corridors. The sets and models are something else. They deserve to be experienced on the big screen.

Thanks for the recommendation! This looks like a lot of ghostly fun.
