Still spending at least a bit of time each day adding another couple of layers of bricks before letting it dry. The tower wall is starting to get towards the top, and managed to make pretty good looking arches on the highest and last two windows. 😊

The continued work on my chruch for Mordheim/Frostgrave, a few more rounds of brickwork down and arches around the rear two windows. I have one of my original Mordheim pieces from back in the late 90s early 00s which I will share alongside this one when I'm done, the difference is quite shocking already.

Got to Natlan last night, been great going through the archon story, Fontaine was so fun (I did do Nod-Krai out of turn, but I wanted to raise Lauma and Nefer, plus those free primos!!) got Kachina, and I adore her already in the story, my Munchkin Mayhem squad gets ever closer.

Waited most of the day for the yearly gas checkup, no show... so blew the rest of the day playing Genshin, hopefully will be more productive tomorrow.

On the plus side got Arlecchino after 4 rolls, then switched to Zhong Li and got him on the third, so can't complain there.

For those wondering about the terrain piece I started for the Nerdlings comp last month, still moving along, a lot of it now has brickwork to the roof point and the porch has its done too, a lot higher on the tower, but still more to go.

A pic of the ruined church as its continued construction moves onward. Can see I've started the tricky stage of brickwork around the lip of the inner tower (above what would be the inside that has collapsed below... I'm thinking its going to have beams places below as if folks loyal to the church have done their best to support what's left of the tower, but will see how it goes, once the roof is in place that will also explain why that part just didn't collapse. A shot of the other side of the church showing the continued brickwork climbing slowly up the rear of the tower.

What was funny is I started calling her that, and then got the Razor Anecdote, which cemented the name even further, we love her. Sadly its likely going to be a while before I can roll for her banner amd actually get her as a playable character, but when she does come back, Oh believe me I will be saving up Primos and coins that month. :) Oh and for those wondering why we consider the 'Disaster Mom' thing funny, its because she is so socially aloof, disjointed from Human Society, but she can't stop adopting children, she's really a sweetheart under all the pomp and circumstance of the Adepti.

Been gaming with the youngest two today as its the last day of half term (well the last I'm not at work for most of it 🙃) but I am thrilled so many folks liked my WiP.

A selection of pictures of the ruined Church building I was attempting to finish for the Nerdlings comp this October, I realized probably about last Thursday it was unlikely to make it, but was attempting to carry on in a hopeful try to get it there. It has a core shape for support, then making a haphazard Frostgrave/Mordheim look for brickwork cutting what will be hundreds of little varying polystyrene bricks as I go, with the added advantage that this method fixes any errors on the underframe by covering gaps etc. The roof will be laid with thin Balsa wood, and then tiles created to make it look authentic as possible including loose and dangling ones, still debating on a spire for the tower, wasn't going to with the original entry but now I have more time may do so. As for the entry itself, pretty much got the brickwork to the edge of the roof on the single story part of the building, but still over halfway to do for the tower. It has a main door with planned door on hinges (hopefully) a number of windows most with wooden frames in place, also a frame for roof is there, but held by sellotape at the ridge just to give those looking a better of idea of where I am headed. Will keep updating my progress over on my feed, but even though I didn't make it, this comp has inspired me to get going on the fantasy ruins terrain, I have several buildings planned inc an Inn. Oh and there is a WHFB Chaos Warrior and a 32mm Frostgrave figure in the shots for scale.

So, gave Zenless Zone Zero a try, its pretty good, A bit flashy (Cyberpunk though 😇) and I do prefer Genshin, but got to the ability to make rolls and could make 2 of the 8 cost standard ones.
I got Nicola and Anby on my first (equivilent of C1s right off the bat) and then on my second...

Getting an extra 9hr shift yesterday on what is a traditionally a day off for me is really effecting my ability to get my Nerdlings monthly together on time. I still have the week, but damn it's going to be close, could end up done just in time, or just missed out. I'll share regardless.

Can't share much, but the project is coming along very nicely, although I have put a clock over my head, this needs to be ready for painting by the end of Sunday at the very worst... so going to have to get a move on.

Had a bit of a heart attack this morning as PC wouldn't start, fan trying to turn, light flashing on graphics card, thankfully unplugging it for 2mins allowed it to reboot, and it seems my Nvidia app uninstalled itself at some point... so updated and hopefully problem solved.

And its done, took a slight bit longer & still have some bits to sort on the table, but the new set up is done. Moved Contrast to my little shelf above the wacom, Shades are in the rack by the lamp, all other paints on that shelf to left. Hopefully this fits me better.

A pic of the new set up, have maneuvered modelling area/painting area to the left, all my standard paints are on that shelf on the left with two vertical painting racks at the back, Shades on clear rack in front by the lamp and all Contrast now on shelf above the Wacom. The key change her is having the Wacom permanently set up rather than hidden away, as I'd often think, hmm in the mood to draw and then realized I needed to get it all out and set up and didn't bother. My Keyboard and monitor are now dead centre on the corner, which while typing this feels a lot better, so happy with that change. I have lost some modelling space with the new set up, and I doubt the bases pots will stay in those spots long term, but I am doing more model construction in the living room anyway, and in fact moved the larger green cutting mat into the living room, and brought the smaller one in here to bridge the gap under the shelf to the desk.

So my plan for the next 2 days (was hoping just today but work later this afternoon might scupper plans) is to try and make this a more useful space. The key thing is setting up my Digi-art pad so it has a permanent location. (bottles are weighing down a terrain base)

My corner has become quite the mess of late, a pic of the devastation, need a full resort, have an idea of what I want to do and will be working on it for the rest of the day up until work, and finished at worst in the morning. Got some more painting done today, still having a end of summer sort, trying to get places sorted before winter sweeps in, so been busy most of the time.

Orks are slowly getting there, and the War council Nobz mob is catching up to the other mobz.

Been prepping the house for winter, sorta reverse spring clean to make sure nothing is near any of the heaters, as temps have been falling at night.

Today is a eBay prep/listing day but hopefully I'll get to share some hobby later.

The old trusty 'base mat' is out again to protect the modelling area, already did a Rhinox Hide/Cygor Brown mix on the bases, now going over again with Cygor for extra depth. only managed a few each side as work is approaching, will do the rest later.

Enjoying painting the Orks so much I have grabbed another unit out of the box to get colour on. Due to the whole 'all Clans' Ork army plan, the first Nobz Mob is a 'Council of Waaagh!' a powerful 'Advisor' Nob from each Clan led by Kaptain Waaagh! himself.

A picture of the Nobz unit in the Ork army, a selected group of hardened warriors from each Clan, come together to advise the Warlord, led by the infamous Kaptain Waaagh! himself (Is it really an Ork army if you haven't parodied the Captain Ameri-ork' conversion) Blood Axe nob is a long range shooter and Komms specialist, Evil Sunz is a gunslinger speedster, the Goff is a hardened Warrior who loves things close and personal, the Bad Moon has the best tech he can afford, the Death Skull is a legend among other Skulls for the loot he has acquired and the Snakebite weirds his ancient feral axe as well as any Mek enhanced power choppa. Kaptain Waaagh! with his boon of extreme strength from Gork and Mork themselves, wields his shield as effectively as a Power Klaw, using it to shred other foes.

The Death Skulls have caught up and I think that's all the undercoat now gone with some kind of colour... more details to come and both units starting to look a lot of fun.

Will be trying to get these done before the end of next week.

A picture of the Orks currently being painted, all the sprayed parts (I think will double check before bed, as about to go watch Alien Earth) are now with colour... so Death Skulls have caught up the Goffs, and even the Deff Dread got some of its initial work done. As previous pics on the Orks, two mob units, one Goff, one Death Skull, a Goff Warboss in Mega-armour and a Death Skull Weirdboy and his grot minderz (3rd party Joker Ork and HQuinn Grots) Also a Bad Moon Deff Dread.

After loosing my table to the sort out of the last few days (eBay lots and the like, also who am I kidding, its been a week+) I've finally got the Orks back on the painting mat, focusing initially on the Death Skulls to catch up to around the same point the Goffs are.
