Any Welsh followers, or anyone with a sense of fair play in the UK who cares that Westminster owes Wales, the poorest part of Britain, £500,000,000 match funding for the monies spent on HS2, but won’t pay it, please sign
Petition: Give Wales funding to reflect UK Government spending on HS2 in England
We believe that the UK Government is depriving Wales of billions of pounds as the UK Government has classified HS2 as an "England and Wales" project although not a single piece of track will be laid i...

Still makes me laugh that Ben Wishaw says, "Put your back into it" in two totally different films - Skyfall and Paddington 2 🤣

As O’Brien writes, “not only has Brexit been a disaster; much of Britain’s infrastructure now appears to be broken. We are indeed led by donkeys. The press is frequently a disgrace. In public life, facts no longer matter. Shame is extinct.”
How They Broke Britain by James O’Brien review – a catalogue of disasters
No decent person could disagree with the radio host’s account of political failure in Britain. But what does he think needs to be done about it?

At the time of writing, our staff are witnessing people being shot at as they attempt to flee the Al-Shifa hospital.

MSF urgently reiterates its calls to stop the attacks against hospitals, for an immediate ceasefire and for the protection of medical facilities, medical staff and patients.

Declining to back Braverman’s words but keeping her in office is Sunak hoping to secure the bigot vote while pretending he isn’t one.
Sorry no. If Braverman is your Home Secretary, you endorse her. Her hate speech is your hate speech. And you are responsible for the harm she does.

Next is The Hourglass by Tracy Rees, much of it based in Tenby, Pembrokeshire which I know very well. I thoroughly enjoyed her Darling Blue a few months back so have high hopes for The Hourglass too.

Finished The It Girl by @ruthwarewriter.bsky.social last night & loved every second of it! The twist was stunning & I really didn't see it coming! Loved both Ruth Ware that I've read (so far!) Highly recommended.

Brexit - a ruinous shitshow
Covid - an unforgivable disaster
Levelling up - a lie
Stopping the boats - a moral collapse
NetZero - another betrayal

There’s a pattern here. And it’s Tory deceit, contempt, greed, incompetence and failure. It has to stop. We have to get them out.

Picking up the needles again after having tendonitis in my wrists/hands for a couple of years. The aim is to knit 2 rows a day without pain! It'll eventually become a dog jumper, which I sell on eBay to raise funds for a local animal rescue. 🧶
