I'm not sure what I'm getting out of Bluesky. it seems to have been taken over by photographers posting pictures and not a lot of birding. I also don't seem to get real detailed answers to questions like I did on twitter on all sorts of nature subjects.. Bit danted with it all to be honest.. ☹️.

Bit of a Shore Lark smash and grab up the Great Orme this morning! Dashed out of work when the bird had been relocated and arrived to see it showing well on the cliff edge. Took off out of view 10 mins later and I headed back. A great site record and an overdue first for me. #birdingwales #ukbirding

Great to catch another #Firecrest yesterday amongst a nice selection of autumn species during a garden ringing session. The 6th #Treecreeper of the year was particularly notable for the site, I’m usually lucky if I get 1 here per year! #birdringing #GowerBirds @gowerbirds.bsky.social

It's sad when huge old trees fall but it does provide opportunities for fossicking around logs and branches and under slabs of bark. And today that produced a new harvestman, Nemastoma bimaculatum. There were also spiders but I've still to go through all my photos.

The joint smallest bird in the UK along with the Goldcrest weighing about 5/6 grams, the same as a 20p piece in the UK or a nickel in the US!
