I hope if he DOES keep his dot eyes, they don't make them sunken-in for no god damn reason. Would look terrible in combination with him probably having scales or some other texture on his head. Eugh!

Anyway, I hope so. I'm a little worried about it after what they did to Sledge Bros... Though, you are right that most characters with dot eyes did not gain eyeballs. I feel like it could go either way, honestly...

Does his ignorance betray a lack of sufficient care for real-world issues and his part in possibly perpetuating them through said ignorance, though? I'd say so. Does he deserve scrutiny for that? Absolutely.

Is it possible he was just ignorant and, as such, shouldn't necessarily be called a bigot? Well, honestly, looking at that initial tweet, now... there's a good chance?? Maybe a bit of both??

Now, he DOES seem to call out anti-DEI grifters in a tweet that was omitted from this post, but I must admit it doesn't make his wording in the follow-up seem much better given its pretty direct insinuation that games having diversity when they otherwise wouldn't is agenda-based and bad.

He also isn't arguing only that there is a coordinated effort to promote inclusion: he explicitly states his belief that this effort is agenda-based. In other words, not just that the coordinated effort merely exists.

You bring up confirmation bias once again, but didn't really address what I said about how that would mean his pre-existing biases are already bigoted, which... would be bad. I would appreciate it if you could explain that part in more detail. Maybe I just don't understand the details of this point.

Hmm. I must be honest and say I am no longer fully sure what you're trying to claim, here. You say you don't disagree with me, and yet, from your words, I gather that your point (he didn't know and is genuinely sorry) is, in fact, the complete opposite of mine (he knew full well and isn't).

At the very best, you can say Shesez is dangerously ignorant to the world around him and its many issues. That's really, REALLY not much better, for a cishet white guy with a platform who's responsibility it is to NOT be.

His DEI rant is too specific, and too detailed. This is in stark contrast to his apology, which is incredibly vague and only says "I didn't know what anything I said meant, I actually love diversity!" even though he frames games having diversity when they otherwise wouldn't as a BAD THING.
