There’s a Donald Wayne Suggs in UGA’s chemistry dept who also goes by his middle name and his email is one character off for mine. I get his emails all the time and last week was told I had a delivery of autoclaves to pick up.

2 things: 1. Enjoyed your description of Episcopalianism; coming out of a mixed bag of Protestantism I discovered my faith by realizing (thru Kierkegaard) you had to ignore rationality. 2. Look up Bowen's revenue theory of cost, which he wrote about academe but applies to athletic depts.

Not sure if anyone pointed this out already, but Man of Constant Sorrow is a very old folk song, probably 18th century if not earlier. Not sure if it’s from Appalachia or a spiritual. But I was singing it in children’s choir 40 years ago.
