4/6 If the AMN is a functional substrate of gliomas, is there any relationship between tumor location and patient survival? We found that patients with gliomas invading more AMN regions exhibited significantly shorter overall survival.

3/6 In addition to common cerebral gliomas, we tried to predict the locations of multifocal and cerebellar gliomas by the AMN: ~90% localized within the network, and notably, no glioma was found entirely outside it.

2/6 Aggregating glioma network maps across all patients, we showed that this network consistently aligns with the AMN spanning cerebral cortex, subcortex, and cerebellum.

1/6 We analyzed 3 large independent neuroimaging cohorts (1000+ glioma patients) and used lesion network mapping to show: gliomas are anatomically diverse but converge onto a reproducible functional network.

Check out our new work on the relationship between glioma and system-level functional networks! We identify that nearly all gliomas localize within a common brain functional network, Action-Mode Network (AMN) .
