Andrew Geddes (1782-1865) and his wife Margaret Saunders (1782-1850) were buried in the churchyard of St. John's Anglican in Elora. In the 1870s the church relocated downtown, and in 1906 Andrew and Margaret were reinterred in the municipal cemetery.

Obelisk lying on the forest floor at Elora Cemetery (Ontario, Canada). The grave memorializes Jane Bye (1831-1891) and her daughter Minetta Howse (1864-1889). In 2010 the obelisk was off but solidly upright; it appears to have been pushed over.

This marble stone in Elora Cemetery fell over 6 weeks ago, almost 160 years after it was erected. It joins many dozens of 19th century stones in the cemetery that now lay flat, broken and sinking into the earth.
