Some thoughts on the #diecast hobby, particularly #HotWheels. There's been a bit of a thing between two content creators that I follow about being negative about the hobby, in particular complaints about how Mattel handles things like their #RLC releases.

Out of 225 #diecast cars that I have identified as Gaslands Roadshow Live, Monster High Derby, MLP Racing Circuit, and Friends & Family gift cars, I have completed 104 of them
If I lock this list down, it'll take me about a year to finish the rest. What am I going to do with the other 500ish?

Today's #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels RD-06 from the 2025 HW Designed By series. This car that introduced me to AcceleRacers and the realization that I had other racing drones in my collection. This one is going to be Idris for #Gaslands. I've got another pair that will be #MonsterHigh cars.

Today's #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels RD-06 from the 2025 HW Designed By series. This car that introduced me to AcceleRacers and the realization that I had other racing drones in my collection. This one is going to be Idris for #Gaslands. I've got another pair that will be #MonsterHigh cars.
WIP added a foldout mine dropper in the trunk of the Matchbox Mercury Cougar Villager wagon. It doesn't quite close all the way for a variety of reasons. But, it's not like I'm looking out for the resale value of the car.

Today's #DeskCar is the Hot Wheels #AcceleRacers RD-09 from the 2013 Road Rockets 5-Pack Release. The current #SilverSeries release is a much improved casting with greater detail. WIP assembled and glued the mine thrower on my #Gaslands #Warden prison car. Filed the Lego studs down for scale (thanks @captainhat.bsky.social). Added mesh to the rear windows and might add a very large oil tank top the rear. Also, "welded" the doors shut.

It is engaging, high concept with many layered themes. Great casting and quality production value.
I never got into #BreakingBad or #BetterCallSaul after watching the first season of each. They are great shows, but the sheer volume of episodes is intimidating

Today's #DeskCar is the RD-10, a Racing Drone from the AcceleRacers series. I only learned about them from the recent Silver Series release. I had a couple from random finds and gifts to me. This one is part of an #Gaslands Idris team "Blacklight". The plan is black bodies with fluorescent stripes.

Modeled after a clay pigeon thrower. The Lego studs are chonky, but it reads better to me. I might try something smaller.

Today's #DeskCar is the Barbaric, the one I have is from the 2009 New Models. This is another car for the Verney team, Death Race 2050. Like the Motoblade, it's got a large "blade" running down the middle. These cars are designed to be anti-pedestrian.

Today's #DeskCar is the #HotWheels Motoblade from the 2006 First Editions release. It's a #diecast race car with a giant razor blade down the middle. There's a driver figure on the right hand side. I picked this up for my Verney team themed after Death Race 2050. It fits that vibe of kill cars.

Here are all the moody blues I have in my #diecast collection. The only one I'm missing is Max Steel. Originally, I didn't want it because it's open top. But, I've been getting better at adding figures to cars. It's the same base model I used the Snoopy Driving Ace.
