I can imagine Democratic leaders hosting salons in middleclass homes in America where people can feel agency, access and they are seen and heard. I’d love to see leaders engage with the public to get real answers fast to people but mostly to listen. Stories are powerful and listening is an act of ❤️.

Those people are empathy deficient.

If it ain’t hurting them directly, they don’t give a shit about anyone else.

They care only for themselves. So they need to feel pain. It’s the only way they learn.
Money. Their money. That's it. If not that, they don't have a red line. Jmo.

It is easier to unify the entire country of 30 million people in Canada—from liberal to conservative—against TrumPutin, than it is to unify the Democratic Party in Congress to vote as one liberal party against authoritarianism. WTAF.

Raskin: The price of eggs has never been higher than it is right now. But what about the price of Eggs Benedict? All of their treason to democratic institutions—so, I don’t think people want to pay for the price of eggs or Eggs Benedict under Elon Musk and Donald Trump

Having studied democratic and rule of law backsliding for quite some time, one of the recurrent features I have encountered at start of process is a misplaced faith in one’s country’s resilience + a misplaced sense of “they can’t do this so they won’t”
Again, I don't know what people are seeing that makes them so sure that future elections are going to be free, fair, or competitive. They're following all the plays in the competitive authoritarian playbook to make sure that they will not be.
Reminder that the Census determines how federal dollars, and House seats, are allocated. This is, yet another, five alarm fire.

I have always said in my professional opinion, that hope is not a strategy but strategy needs hope to be successful.

This brings so much hope for a short and longterm solution to Ukraine’s security.
I stand with Ukraine.🇺🇦
“If we cannot give you membership of NATO, and I think it’s the only way forward, then we have to find another way to provide Ukraine with a clear, long-term security guarantee.”

Is it wine o’clock? Why yes. Yes it is. S’been a day. I can’t believe it when I see it. I stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦. I’m so sorry we are no longer the leaders of the free world. I’m so stunned by these brazen acts of extremism, entitlement and cruelty. Where did civility, compassion and democracy go?

We’ve tried to shelter our minds but tonight we’re preparing for the genocide of Science.

Entire NIH departments will have no leaders.

World renowned Scientists kicked to the curb without cause, & grants will loose their lead investigators.

Is this what they want?
Chaos? Destruction?
NIH ban on renewing senior scientists adds to assaults on its in-house research
Policy follows firings of tenure-track scientists and suspension of training programs

Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.”

There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

There is something so beautiful about personal stories of growth as humans and self improvement as leaders. We harness empathy whenever we listen to learn, not to respond. #betterhumanbetterleader #weekdayrx #coaching #leadership

I’m starting to think that the problem with the business community of prominent and influential leaders is that they think they are above the law. Perhaps that’s why they aren’t standing up for democracy?

When will the Doge government break the economy, and when will voters wake up? Please tell me it’s before they get rid of free and fair elections. Midterms might look like Russia.

Ski goggles are great filters. You pretty much see a lot of snow, cover a lot of ground, and get distracted by the view. Best kind.

Some days I need better self talk than my usual judge. So putting my ski goggles on to see a different view…
Let’s believe it can be better by coming together and creating together. Change is a constant in our lives, but we do not need to go alone.
