S31 is a *fascinating* construct and ripe for exploration, but I think Disco failed to give S31 the credible challenge for which DS9 opened the door. I wanted Disco to give S31 a more critical examination. The Kurtzman era has yet to do so effectively, I think.

I tried desperately to not let the bad reviews get between me and my attention to enjoy the film, but I gave up after 20 minutes. Introducing Georgiou to the cast of obnoxious characters felt like it went on for ages. I couldn't stomach more. Maybe I'll try again after its had some time to simmer.
